Great Yarmouth’s two day outdoor market is not running today due to the snowy weather conditions.

The market, which runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays, is not happening today as traders have not turned up due to the severe weather.

A statement from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, which has responsibility for the two day market and six day indoor market, said: “The two-day market is not running today as market traders are not in attendance due to the severe weather.

“However, the covered six-day market is still running and a number of stalls there are open as normal.”

The council has also said its headquarters at the town hall will be closing at noon due to the weather conditions.
