Owner’s death leaves scruffy dog George homeless and in care of Great Yarmouth re-homing charity

Can someone offer George a forever home?

His owner sadly died, leaving the eight year old scruffy terrier needing to be re-homed. He would love his own family again, rather than be in kennels, and loves his walks

George is in the care of East Norfolk RSPCA charity, which also has several cats needing homes – and some of the animals have recovered from nasty injuries.

Mona is a feral cat and will need a farm or stable home. She is very pretty and there are other feral cats also waiting for homes, some recovering from injuries.

Digit is a very friendly boy who went into the charity with a terrible injury to his foot. This has healed now and he is waiting for his forever home.

Florence is seven years old and has a deformed eye, but she loves to play and especially loves cuddles and other cats.

Sicily will need a nice quiet adult home soon, she can be quite fearful and timid but has come on well since being here. She has lived with Florence in the past so they could be rehomed together or she would be happy on her own. She is believed to be about three years old.

All of the charity’s cats and dogs and rabbits are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, vet checked and on a flea and worm programme. There is a small adoption fee of £55 for domestic cats and kittens, feral cats the donation is £15, dogs are on application. All the animals are subject to a successful home visit. Dexter is featured by Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders, who are looking for a new home for this super handsome boy.

He has sadly been returned after nearly a year in a home due to a change in circumstances, but has the added benefit of being housetrained and is happy to be left for short periods of time. Still a youngster, Dexter has a happy and playful character; he enjoys a game with his toys but also likes to laze on the sofa.

The Norfolk and Suffolk Animal Trust has several dogs looking for new homes – and some have been with them for a while.

Beau is a seven year old male Staffie. He is vaccinated, chipped and castrated. He has a good temperament and seems okay with other dogs, but no cats. Beau will make a good companion.

Tilly is a three year old female Staffie and typical of her breed she is lovely and friendly and will do anything for food. She likes jumping up but is well behaved when told to sit. She’s very loving, just wants to be fussed. Good with other dogs.

Poor Rodney is still waiting for a loving home. The two year old Greyhound is timid at first but is very gentle. He is good with other dogs and will make an ideal pet.
