Darren Peake, 36, of Gloucester Avenue, Gorleston, and William Rowley, 31, of Wellington Road, Great Yarmouth, appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Friday where they entered not guilty pleas to the charge of murdering Mr Kerr on April 2.
Mr Kerr, 52, was seriously injured during an assault near his home in Deneside, Great Yarmouth, in January, and later died at Gorleston's James Paget University Hospital.
A plea and case management hearing was scheduled for November 27 and a trial date set for March 7.
