Founder of Embrace, Emma Roache, 39 from Great Yarmouth and director, Duncan Jay, trekked the Norfolk Costal Path and were joined by supporters of the charity.

Ms Roache said: “I felt so emotional at the finishing line, the first thing I did was take my shoes off and put my feet in the sea.”

Embrace supports people who feel excluded from society, through homelessness, offending behaviour and disability, to give them the future they want.

Ms Roache founded Embrace after her difficult childhood when she was made homeless through no fault of her own.

She said: ”I didn’t have any help when I was 16 and homeless, £5,000 will make such a difference and help give people the future they want.”
