ONLY one parish council election will be held within the Great Yarmouth borough on May 5 – in Stokesby, where 10 candidates are vying for seven seats.

In parishes where there are an equal number of candidates, or not enough, the nominees will automatically become a parish councillor. The list where councils will be changing is:

There will be four votes to be cast for some electors in the Yarmouth borough – the Lothingland ward Norfolk County Council seat, borough council seats, and the referendums for Alternative Voting and an Elected Mayor.
