A police officer whose new role is to keep the community updated on issues across Great Yarmouth has enlisted social media to help him spread the word.
PC Dan Potter is the Great Yarmouth Police District Engagement Officer for the whole borough and his role is to keep the community updated on police actions and informing the communities about ongoing issues, with updates on how the police are addressing them.
He said: “The way I intend to do this is using social media as a main focal point.
“I am aware not everyone follows social media so other ways of communicating are in place, such as Safer Neighbourhood Actions Panel Meetings. “Everyone is more than welcome to send me stories, information or comments via my email or through Great Yarmouth police Facebook and Twitter pages messaging service or by calling 101 and asking for me.”
