Person rescued after A12 crash near Corton

Firefighters have freed a person from their vehicle after it crashed on the A12 in Corton.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash at around 3.15pm. The incident occurred close to the Gorleston Road roundabout.

Four people were said to be in the vehicle when it crashed, but their injuries are not thought to be serious. As a precaution they were all transferred to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.

Three ambulances arrived on the scene in three minutes along with fire crews from Lowestoft South, Great Yarmouth and Gorleston.

The incident was under control by around 4pm.
