Two further bursts have been discovered in the water mains in Caister Road.
The road between Great Yarmouth and Caister was closed to traffic on Wednesday evening after two water pipes burst.
Repairs were completed on Friday and the road was reopened to traffic on Saturday, but two further bursts have since been discovered.
The town’s water provider said the carriageway near Yarmouth Stadium should be reinstated by Wednesday.
An Essex and Suffolk Water spokesperson said: “Caister Road was re-opened to two-way traffic on Saturday as planned. There are currently two single lane closures in place on Caister Road while we carry out repairs and carriageway reinstatements for two smaller bursts that were discovered since Saturday.
“Work to reinstate the carriageway close to the greyhound stadium on Yarmouth Road should be completed by Wednesday, with a two-lane contraflow in place until then. We apologise again for any inconvenience caused while these essential repair works are taking place, and thank everyone for their patience at this time.”
Four-way traffic control measures are also in place in Nelson Road Central today where repairs on a burst water main are also being carried out.
