WORK to transform Great Yarmouth's eyesore art college into affordable flats could be underway in the autumn.
Plans to convert the former college into 18 flats have been submitted to the borough council and if approved, workmen could be on site in September.
The �2m scheme for the Grade II listed building is for seven two-bedroom and 11 one-bedroom flats.
Flagship Housing, which owns the building, has worked closely with conservationists over the scheme which will remodel the inside.
Plans will be considered by the borough council's development control committee later in the year.
