Police investigating youth football tournament fight in Gorleston

Police have confirmed they are investigating a fight at a youth football tournament in Gorleston in which a man was reportedly beaten while on the ground.
The fight is thought to have broken out between 1pm and 1.40pm on Sunday at the Gorleston Rangers Youth Football Tournament at Ormiston Venture Academy.
The fight followed an altercation between two groups and one man is said to have been kicked to the body and head while on the ground, sustaining a swollen eye and some bruising.
The under 15s tournament was subsequently abandoned.
Police have been talking to witnesses following the incident and are looking at CCTV as part of their investigations.
Anyone who saw the incident is encouraged to contact the police on 101.
The Norfolk FA have also launched an investigation into the fight.

Matt Carpenter, football services manager at Norfolk FA, said: “We have been made aware of a serious and very concerning incident that has taken place at the Gorleston Rangers FC tournament on Sunday and we have begun our investigations into this matter which will be dealt with in line with FA regulations.”
