The game at the school for children with special needs last Wednesday was organised to forge links between pupils and police's Caister and Flegg safer neighbourhood team
A sudden rain shower couldn't dampen the spirits of either team as they kicked off in blustery conditions - with the police taking an early lead.
However, it wasn't long before home team John Grant pulled one back with spectators from the school erupting with applause.
It was goals galore in the second-half with the pupils pulling level at 5-5 with a superb goal taken by John Grant's centre forward.
The game went to a tense penalty shootout which saw Sgt Caroline Adams blazing wide to lose the game.
Once the celebrations died down the cup was presented to the captain of the winning side by head teacher Gerald Hampson and was followed by a barbeque.
The event was supported by Allan's Butchers, of Hemsby, and Tubby's Butchers, of Caister, along with Tesco and the Co-op at Caister, along with staff from John Grant.
Police spokesman Jon Smith said: “The interaction between the pupils and officers was excellent and to witness the commitment, enthusiasm and enjoyment of the pupils through adversity was a humbling experience that everyone in the team can only have benefitted from.”
The match was refereed by Scott Boyer.
Representing the police team were, Paul Johnson, David Law, Scott Nichols, Andy Brown, Caroline Adams, Roger Bellward, Pat Goffin, Pam Potter, Harry Potter, Paul Edwards, Michelle Hargreaves, Martyn Oliver, and cheer leader Debbie Gowen.
