Chance to quiz police bosses at town hall event

Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and the county’s Deputy Chief Constable will be answering questions from the public at Great Yarmouth Town Hall.
Lorne Green and Nick Dean will host a question and session in Great Yarmouth on Thursday, July 5 from 6pm to give people the opportunity to share views, issues or concerns about crime and policing in their area.
The event is the third of its kind in 2018 as part of the Mr Green’s ongoing pledge to give the public access to the county’s senior officers while ensuring he and the wider police service are visible, accessible and accountable to all.
Last year he held seven Public Accountability Forum (PAF) meetings – one in each district - each followed by a public question and answer session.
Mr Green has already hosted events in Watton and Downham Market which were both well attended and he is hoping to see a good turn-out in Great Yarmouth next week.
He said: “As Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner it is important I listen to any concerns people may have about policing and these question and answer sessions have proven to be a good platform in which to do so,” said Lorne.
“I pledge to give every man, woman and child the opportunity to influence local policing in the area where they live.

“The Norfolk public has really bought into the Q&A events and I am very much looking forward to Thursday evening.
“I hope Great Yarmouth residents will welcome the opportunity to raise any views or concerns they may have face-to-face with myself and the Deputy Chief Constable.”
