People were reportedly told to leave Great Yarmouth town centre yesterday evening (Tuesday) as police cordoned off areas with tape.
There was a police presence in areas around Market Gates Shopping Centre, the bus station, and Iceland - but it is not yet clear what had happened.
Photographs showed police vans and cars stationed in the town.
