Police arrested them on suspicion of assault after officers were called to the Gorleston Recreation in Church Lane on Sunday afternoon.

The arrests of the 41-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman and two 15-year-old boys are linked to a game between Gorleston Rangers under 16s B team and Hempnall under 16s.

Sunday's match was in the Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League's Shield quarter finals.

The Norfolk FA said it was aware an incident had taken place and that it was investigating it. The Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League would not make any comment on the altercation or the match.

All four people arrested on the suspicion of assault have been released on police bail for four weeks pending further inquires by police.
