POLICE praised the behaviour of thousands of people across the county who celebrated Halloween last night.
Extra officers were on duty for what can be one of the busiest weekends in the policing calendar.
However Inspector Russell Wilkinson from Community Safety confirmed there were no serious incidents and nothing significant to report from overnight.
A total of 78 incidents were reported, 38 were attended by officers, compared to 98 incidents for the same period last year - 59 attended by officers.
Insp Wilkinson said: “The evening passed without major incident and I would like to thank the county’s trick or treaters for showing respect to those not taking part in the celebrations. We saw a slight increase in reports of anti-social behaviour compared to the average weekend however the vast majority of people had a safe and enjoyable time
