Two fire crews tackled a small grass fire on the Pontins site in Hemsby today.
Initial reports suggested a chalet or clubhouse was alight but when crews from Wroxham and Stalham arrived they found it was on a grassy embankment.
They took around half an hour to put it out.
A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said the police had been informed and that children were seen running away from the scene.
Norfolk Police said they were called at 2.22pm by the Fire Service but that the investigation was still in the early stages and a cause had not yet been established.
