Police sealed off part of a Great Yarmouth street after an assault left a victim needing hospital treatment.

Norfolk police officers were called to York Road in the town at just before 5pm today.

A police spokesman said a person had suffered a head injury in the assault and had been taken to hospital.

He said police were looking for the suspect and a police seal had been put in place while the investigation continues.
