POLICE are appealing for information following two burglaries which they believe may be linked.

The break-ins happened yesterday at homes in Hickling and Ludham, with garden tools used to forced entry.

The first took place between 8.30am and 3.15pm, at Town Street, Hickling where the house was searched, but it is not believed anything was stolen.

A number of items of jewellery were later believed to have been stolen from a house in Lovers Lane, Ludham between 10.10am and 2.45pm.

Sgt Tony Toynton, said: “There is a possibility that these two incidents may be linked as garden tools were used to force entry to both addresses.

“I would like to take this opportunity to remind householders to secure all garden tools in a shed or similar outbuilding.

“I would appeal for anyone who witnessed either offence or has any information concerning them to make contact.”

Contact: Sgt Toynton on 0845 456 4567 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
