PEOPLE living in Caister and surrounding villages will see more of their neighbourhood policing team next month when they join a community bus tour of the area.
Members of the Caister and Rural Flegg safer neighbourhood teams will join the Rural North Bus Tour, organised by Ourbus Flexibus and Help the Aged.
Help the Aged and Ourbus flexibus will be offering information on a variety of subjects including local Help the Aged services, transport services, heating, tenancy queries and advice and benefits advice.
Insp Teresa Eagleton, head of Rural Flegg, Caister and coastal village's teams, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for the safer neighbourhood teams to engage with other partners and some of the hard to reach groups in our community - such as the elderly. It gives residents the chance to get a variety of advice and information on their doorstep.”
Police community support officers will be available to listen to concerns and offer advice on policing matters.
On Wednesday the bus starts out at Martham at 9am, stopping at Winterton, Hemsby, Ormesby and Caister (Charles Close) finishing at Caister Old Hall car park at 2.30pm.
