POLICE are urging residents in Hemsby to be vigilant following an attempted burglary. Thieves tried to get into a house on Newport Road in the village between midnight last Wednesday and midday on Sunday but were unsuccessful.

Thieves tried to get into a house on Newport Road in the village between midnight last Wednesday and midday on Sunday but were unsuccessful.
DC, Darren Reade from Great Yarmouth CID, said: “This is unfortunately the second incident of this kind within the area recently and while we will be making every effort to apprehend the offender we would ask local residents to be alert and consider the security of their properties to help prevent them becoming victims too.”
