TWO youths who blatantly ignored warnings from police to stop jumping off the pier in Gorleston and into the sea have been charged to appear before magistrates after failing to comply with safety warnings.
Officers took the teenagers home to their parents after they continued to jump into the sea despite warnings.
Sgt Lewis Craske of the Gorleston Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Jumping into the sea off the breakwater is an extremely dangerous activity as the tide can turn quickly and people can find themselves in serious trouble and we want to prevent this from happening.
“If people fail to comply with our warnings we will have no choice but to take action for their own safety.”
