POLICE are warning doctors' surgeries across the county to be aware of a donations scam.

Over the last few days a number of surgeries across Norfolk have been contacted by a person claiming to be associated with the police and asking for financial donations.

Over the last few days a number of surgeries across Norfolk have been contacted by a person claiming to be associated with the police and asking for financial donations.

A police spokesperson said: “Norfolk Constabulary does not engage in cold calling businesses or individuals asking for donations and we are advising anyone who is contacted in such a manner to ignore the call and not to hand over any money.”
