There have been similar incidents across the county on previous occasions where members of the public have been approached in this manner.
Norfolk County Council's Trading Standards officers advise residents never to purchase goods or services from cold callers.
Often such traders don't provide full names, trading addresses or contact telephone numbers, resulting in it being virtually impossible to trace them if there are any problems with the work or goods - which is all too often the case.
To report problems with traders call Consumer Direct on 08454 040506 or call Norfolk police on 0845 4564567.
