POLICE are urging members of the public to be vigilant of rogue traders selling electrical goods in the Great Yarmouth area.

The warning from the police's Operation RADAR team follows reports of men selling televisions in the Yarmouth and Norwich areas from the back of vans.

The first incident took place shortly before 5.30pm on December 8 in Acle New Road, Great Yarmouth.

A member of the public was approached by a man in a white Vauxhall van and offered a number of televisions which appeared to be new and in their original boxes.

The man claimed that a friend of his had been "laid off" from a well known electrical store and needed to sell the items.
