Two men claiming to be looking for a man called Dave who owned a motorbike knocked on the door of a house on Admiralty Road at about 11.45am today .

The homeowner told the men no one with the name Dave lived at the property. The men were given directions to another road but walked off in the opposite direction, causing the homeowner concern.

The men are described as in their 20s, of slim build and had Irish accents. Both were wearing dark coats and jeans.

The incident prompted a warning from Norfolk County Council's Trading Standards officers who said homeowners should never agree to have work done or buy goods from someone who calls unannounced.
