Poo in the sea is normal for Norfolk, right?

Every year, I suggest a holiday in the UK, and every year I get talked out of it because of weather fears.
This year however, funds were low so when a friend offered us use of their caravan in Caister, we gratefully accepted.
The clouds followed us up the A11 on Tuesday and I feared the usual.
But in the end, after one day of solid rain on Wednesday, we had more or less beautiful weather for the rest of the week.
Great Yarmouth is well served for rainy days anyway - the SeaLife Centre is a great favourite, as is the delightfully bonkers indoor golf at the Windmill Theatre.
Meanwhile, on sunny days, you can’t beat Gorleston - surely it has one of the best sandy beaches in the world?
Admittedly, on one occasion, a poo did float by when my boys were in the sea.
But it didn’t seem to put them off an East Coast holiday and I’m glad.
I wanted them to have an East Anglian childhood so it’s a rite of passage, isn’t it?
