A MEMBER of the public alerted the coastguard to a dead porpoise washed up on the beach between Scratby and California, near Great Yarmouth. The find, at 9.
A MEMBER of the public alerted the coastguard to a dead porpoise washed up on the beach between Scratby and California, near Great Yarmouth.
The find, at 9.25am on Thursday, follows a similar discovery last week on the beach at nearby Hemsby.
A coastguard spokesman said the carcass was in a decomposed state. The Natural History Museum had been informed to see if it wished to recover it to undertake a post mortem examination.
