The Broads Authority planning committee are likely to approve plans which would see facilities lost in a fire last year replaced at Herbert Woods boat yard, on Bridge Road. The nearby Florencia Café, gift shop and Tourist Information Centre remains boarded up after a fierce fire gutted the building last September. And while rebuilding work has been proposed, the building will accommodate a fishing tackle shop.

The site for the tea rooms, shop and information centre is currently occupied by offices and a ship chandler, which has been empty for more than a year. The application includes small kitchen area and the construction of a first floor balcony to create seating for the tea room.

Plans are expected to be approved subject to a series of conditions including details of building materials and completion of a turning and parking area.
