A Poundstretcher store will be opening in Great Yarmouth town centre on Friday with a range of bargain price giveaways for the first customers through its doors.

The shop, which is based in the former BHS store on Regent Road, will be officially opened at 10am.

For the official opening, Poundstretcher will have more than £3,000 worth of giveaways in a Store Opening Day Only Specials event.

The first five customers in line will receive a double faux leather bed for £19.99 (RRP £99.99).

The next 10 customers will grab themselves a Hoover vacuum for £14.99 (RRP £69.99), and then the next 15 customers will be able to take home a glass TV stand for only £9.99 (RRP £49.99).

Finally, for the next 175 customers, a washable rug will be available for £4.99 (RRP £9.99).

Due to huge demand the offer is limited to one per household.

To further celebrate the grand opening, from 10am until 4pm the store will hold a fun day, offering activities that the whole family can enjoy, such as game shows with fantastic prize giveaways

Poundstretcher area manager, Brian Brownlie, said: “We are pleased to be opening a brand new store to the people of Great Yarmouth with loads of fantastic branded products, all at bargain prices.

“The team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable shopping environment for all our new customers. We are expecting massive queues for our Opening Day Only Specials, so come early to catch the bargains.”

There are 20 jobs at the new store.

The former BHS building was sold in December. The building had lain empty since BHS folded in August 2016.
