A 21-YEAR-old man who assaulted his mother because she could not help him find a pair of trousers was jailed for three months yesterday.
Kyle Burton hit Karen Stagles in the face with an elbow and punched her after he lost his temper at their home at Belton, near Yarmouth, on November 30.
He had admitted assault at an earlier hearing at Yarmouth Magistrates' Court.
Last month, magistrates were told that Burton, of Bramble Gardens, lashed out when he became frustrated after his mother could not help find a pair of trousers for him to wear.
Gary Mayle, prosecuting, told the court then: “He became aggressive; stressed.
“He was unable to find his
trousers. His mother was unable to help him. People were laughing at him.”
Burton had previous convictions relating to domestic incidents at his home, including criminal damage and assault.
