IN the best traditions of “Let's do the show right here!” 26 pupils at North Denes Primary created their own musical and performed it to the rest of the school. It was the result of a six month musical theatre after-school club run by the Seachange Arts Trust.

The children created the whole show from scratch, including the five musical numbers, under the direction of Norwich based composer and songwriter Mark Read. The storyline of “North Denes - the Musical” tackled school bullying around a visit to a museum where the exhibits came to life.

Laurie Miller-Zutshi, Seachange creative learning officer, presented all the pupils with certificates of achievement at the end of the staging in the school hall which was also attended by an “old boy”, mayor Tony Smith and mayoress Sarah Smith.
