ANYONE visiting Cantley Primary School on Friday would have been amazed at the array of creatures and exotic personages that were around the school. It was the annual Character Parade for Book Week and the theme this year was Multi Cultural.
ANYONE visiting Cantley Primary School on Friday would have been amazed at the array of creatures and exotic personages that were around the school. It was the annual Character Parade for Book Week and the theme this year was Multi Cultural. Parents had worked hard with their children's costumes and the youngsters looked magnificent. There was a Rainbow Bird, Anansi, several Heidis, Jamella, Handa, a Chinese Emperor and last but not least, Sinbad the sailor, complete with his boat and the Bagayaga bird complete with her hut! The children enjoyed every minute of it whether they won or not.
Some children and their parents decided to write and design a book as an alternative to dressing up and these were also of a high standard. Some children did both!
