PUPILS from Winterton Primary School have been doing their bit to help the Winterton In Bloom group by planting up a bed on the village green. Supervised by members of the group, each child planted their own flower in the school's special bed which will be an explosion of colour in the weeks to come. Each class in the school will also be making their own scarecrow for the village scarecrow competition to be held on the green on Sunday, July 12. The school also encourages green-fingered children to get involved in growing their own on the school's allotment plot where potatoes, peas, carrots and rhubarb are among the many fruit and vegetables currently being produced.
