DESPITE the snow, children enjoyed a fun quiz at the historic Great Yarmouth row houses on Tuesday.

The aim of the quiz was to find the combination to unlock the Easter treasure looking for clues around Row 111 Houses - one of the two properties that make up the Great Yarmouth Row Houses.

The children, from the Middlegate Estate, were helped by local Police community support officers from the South Yarmouth Safer Neighbourhood Team.

PCSO Jenny Baker said: “The children really enjoyed themselves; events like this give us a great opportunity to build relationships within the community in a fun way.”

All the children who took part in the quiz cracked the code and went away with an Easter egg.

English Heritage visitor operations site supervisor, Simon Tansley said: “It has been a great success again this year, the children have a great time and it's a really fun way for them to interact with the historic sites around them.

“I'd like to thank the Police for their support; they do a great job in getting the children to the houses and supporting them while they are on site, its great working with them and we plan to do more together over the coming season.”

The English Heritage Great Yarmouth Row Houses are open from noon to 5pm daily until September 30. For more information call 01493 857900.
