With around 120 beers and ciders on tap, the Great Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival promises to be class in glass.

Thousands of pints will be pulled during the four-day festival over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend from Thursday, May 27, to Sunday, May 30.

Now in its fourth year, the festival is taking place in the historic surroundings of the Priory Centre next to St Nicholas' Church.

Organised by Great Yarmouth's Blackfriars Brewery and the Town Centre Partnership, the festival has become an important date in

the borough's entertainment calendar.

This year the selection is being increased once again with new brews including Brentwood from Essex, Nottinghamshire-based Milestone and Grimsby's Highwood.

Blackfriars owner Bill Russell said: “I am looking forward to bringing a bumper beer festival to Yarmouth. Here's to a fantastic four days.”

The festival is sponsored by the Mercury and live music will be held during some sessions.

Tickets are available for all sessions on the door and can be booked online for all sessions apart from Friday night at the website www.gytcp.co.uk/events

Session times and entrance fees are: Thursday, May 27: 5pm to 11pm (�3); Friday: 11am to 3pm (�2) and 5pm to 11pm (�4); Saturday: 11am to 3pm (�3) and 5pm to 11pm (�4); and Sunday: 11am to 3pm (�2) and 5pm to 11pm (�3).
