FOR the first time Reedham's Spring Show was held on a Sunday and other village people were invited to take part, which along with the nice weather encouraged more entries and people to attend. Sadly, the warmer weather came a bit too late for the spring flowers to be ready for showing, however all other sections were well entered, and the judges commented that standards were high, giving them a harder task in judging.

Trophies were presented by Chris Bradbury, Chairman of Reedham Community Association.

Judges were thanked for giving their time, they were : Vida Armstrong, Horticultural; Mrs J Cumpsey, Cookery; Mrs V Barnard, Floral Art; Mrs V Hawkins, Handicraft and Children; Mr B Hawkins, Photography.

Thanks were also expressed to the WI Ladies who served refreshments, the head teacher of the school for encouraging the children to take part, to those who donated prizes and to all who entered and attended the event without them this wouldn't have happened.

The competition winner for guess the name of the Teddy Bear (Mary) was Mrs S Crosby. Draw prizes: Mrs S Goodchild, Mr R Bass, Mrs J Lewzey, Mr K Tungate, Mrs P Bennett, Mrs Moore, Mrs D Bell, Mrs C Robson, Mrs E Ball, Mrs P McQuillan, J Lilley and D Rogers.
