Police are investigating an early morning fight in a main thoroughfare to Great Yarmouth seafront that saw one man injured.

The incident, described as an altercation by police, happened at about 1.50am on Thursday, July 12 in Regent Road and saw officers called out following reports two men were fighting.

One of the men suffered a minor injury to his side, which did not require hospital treatment, and the second man was uninjured.

A man aged in his 40s from the Great Yarmouth area was arrested in connection with the incident but was released from custody. He remains under investigation while the enquiry continues.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.
