STAFF from Renault dealer Mitchells paid a visit to year nine pupils at Cliff Park High School, Gorleston, recently to hand over prizes to the winning pupils of a GCSE coursework project.

The dealership, based in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, has been assisting almost 150 year nine pupils with a three-week data collection project as part of their maths GCSE coursework. The task saw the children designing questions, conducting surveys and collecting data on what makes the ultimate family car.

Staff at Mitchells were able to help the children by visiting the school and passing on their expertise on how they collect feedback from their many satisfied customers. Phil Hamblin, one of the Renault technicians at Mitchells in Lowestoft who was involved in the project, was then invited to the school to award prizes to the best four groups, with each pupil receiving a unique Renault Twingo USB memory stick and other official Renault merchandise.

Phil said: “It's been fantastic to be able to help the children with their studies and give something back to the local community.

“At Mitchells we take great pride in listening to our customers and ensuring they get the best possible service, so we were well placed to pass on our experiences and methods to the children.”

He added: “As the project was connected with what makes the best family car we decided to bring Renault's New Mgane Hatch to demonstrate to the children how Renault has approached this task.”
