FIREFIGHTERS evacuated 15 people from flats in Great Yarmouth last Saturday evening.The residents were evacuated from the flats at the Rymond Hotel, in Apsley Road shortly after 6pm when overcooked food triggered the building's alarms.
FIREFIGHTERS evacuated 15 people from flats in Great Yarmouth last Saturday evening.
The residents were evacuated from the flats at the Rymond Hotel, in Apsley Road shortly after 6pm when overcooked food triggered the building's alarms. There were no injuries during the incident.
Fire service spokesman Martin Barsby said: “We would certainly praise the occupants for reacting in the right way. Everybody was out before we arrived.”
Firefighters from Yarmouth attended the incident.
