Residents thwart would-be burglar in Great Yarmouth

POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted burglary in Great Yarmouth.

The occupants of a house in North Quay disturbed a man trying to force a ground floor window open.

The man is described as white, tall and of slim build in his 20s. He is believed to have been wearing lightweight clothing, white trainers and a woollen hat. He fled the scene after climbing over the back gate.

CID officers are now keen to hear from anyone who witnesses the incident between 11:30pm and 11:45pm on Sunday.
