POLICE have sealed off a lane of the A12 between Hopton and Lowestoft after reports of suspicious activity in the area last night .

Officers were called to the Hopton roundabout at about 11.

POLICE have sealed off a lane of the A12 between Hopton and Lowestoft after reports of suspicious activity in the area last night .

Officers were called to the Hopton roundabout at about 11.30pm and used a helicopter to search the vicinity.

Police spokesman John Smith said that so far nothing suspicious had been found during the search.

The Old Yarmouth Road in Hopton has also been closed off while police conduct their enquiries.
