Staff at Great Yarmouth’s Sainsburys celebrated their fundraising success for Sport Relief.

The team took party in a variety of fundraising events during the weeks leading up to the finale of Sport Relief on Friday, March 23, and raised an impressive £571.66 for the charity.

The main activity included inviting 50 pupils from Northgate Primary School joining staff instore for a PE lesson.

The store also offered a variety of merchandise giving customers the chance to purchase branded deeley boppers, wrist bands, pin badges and much more.

Rebecca Davis, store manager, said: “Sport Relief is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together with the local community to raise as much money as possible for a great cause.”

During the Sport Relief finale evening of TV on Friday, Sainsbury’s announced it had raised more than £6.1 million for the charity with more funds still to be collected.
