Dozens of children were inspired by a series of science workshops run by the Shell Education Service across Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and many surrounding villages last week. The week culminated on Saturday with a Family Science day at St Nicholas' Priory Junior School in Great Yarmouth, and was attended by over 300 people.

The day involved children and their families taking part in science investigations featuring electricity, energy transfer, forces and motion and materials.

Martin Wesley - one of the workshop leaders from the Shell Education Service - said: “This family science day and week of workshops have been a real success, they encourage children to explore and question science in a fun, hands-on way. It's clear many of the children have engaged with the excitement and fun of science.”
