Seagulls have forced a library to partially close.
Workmen found a bird’s nest on the roof of Gorleston Library which was blocking a gully.
The blocked drain caused a leak in the roof which forced the library to fully shut on Wednesday.
On Thursday only the ground floor of the building in Lowestoft Road was open for readers to borrow and return books, but they were unable to use the computers, printers or WiFi.
A spokesman for Norfolk County Council’s libraries services said: “We currently have roofers on site fixing the leak, which we believe was caused by a seagull’s nest blocking a roof drain.
“The ground floor of the library is now re-open to borrow and return books, but we are currently unable to operate the computers or offer WiFi or printing. We will have a full service up and running as soon as we can and would like to thank customers for their understanding.”
