WEARING the traditional stetson hat of the 26th Oil Baron was Blair Ainslie, elected by the Society of Petroleum Engineers on Saturday at the Ocean Room in Gorleston.

WEARING the traditional stetson hat of the 26th Oil Baron was Blair Ainslie, elected by the Society of Petroleum Engineers on Saturday at the Ocean Room in Gorleston.

Mr Ainslie entered the oil and gas industry in 1995 working for Kvaerner Oil and Gas as contracts manager. Later he joined Workfox UK until 2006, as business manager, responsible for marketing, contracts and commercial and general management of the Seafox fleet. He formed Seajacks UK where he is managing director, for construction and operation of self propelled liftboats focused on operation within the North Sea. Mr Ainslie is also Chairman of Skill for Energy.
