MYSTERY continues to surround claims of a killer fish off the coast after the half eaten body of a seal was pictured on Scratby beach on Sunday morning.

Aaron Gover, who took the picture said: “I found a half a seal corpse washed up when the tide came in. What was left of the ribcage was exposed and teeth had cleanly cut through the seal.”

Two weeks ago, bite marks on a baby porpoise found dead on the beach at Scratby continued to create speculation - with a US expert asserting it had been attacked by a shark, and others suggesting a killer whale or a dolphin was the culprit.

The porpoise - three feet long - was discovered with a huge hole in its side and gash mark on its body.

In December, a seal was fatally injured and washed up off Sheringham, its injuries sparking fears of a shark.
