Two inspirational slimmers celebrated the start of a new year by winning weight loss awards
Kim Eley was voted Belton Slimming World group’s Miss Slinky and Bradie Hubbard, Mr Sleek 2015, by fellow members. Slimming World’s annual Miss Slinky and Mr Sleek competitions recognise members who have transformed both inside and out by becoming healthier and happier, slimmer and more confident.
The national winners of both titles will win a £2,000 cash price.
Kim, 48, who has dropped four dress sizes, said: “I was already really looking forward to 2016 and feeling glamorous enough to wear the outfits I’ve been dreaming of. Winning the title means I have even more to celebrate and I know this new year will be even more special.”
Bradie, 40, who has lost four stones, added: “Being voted for by the other members is really great because it’s thanks to them and their support – and our consultant Ella – that we’ve stayed committed to losing weight. As a man, joining a slimming club was a big decision and very nerve-wracking, but I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
Ella, who runs the Belton and Lichfield Slimming World groups which Kim and Bradie attend, added she was extremely proud of both of them.
“I hope they will inspire other people to lose weight too and show that whether you’ve got a little or a lot of weight to lose, slimming down can make a big difference to how you feel about yourself and really boost confidence.”
