AN opportunist thief stole a purse containing cash and bank cards which had been left on a shop counter
Police are appealing for information about the theft from a supermarket in Beccles Road, Gorleston, and which happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Friday, November 14.
The victim had been in the store and left her purse on the counter after she had paid for her goods. She then returned to the store but found that someone had picked up the purse and taken it.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area between the times stated or from anyone who has information in relation to the thief.
