St George’s Theatre will be welcoming a cast of singers and dancers to the building on Remembrance Sunday, November 13, to perform Songs of Remembrance.
The show by Full House Productions commemorates music, songs and sketches that helped win the war and includes singalong sections. It includes the songs of Vera Lynn, Flanagan and Allen, The Andrews Sisters, The Glenn Miller Big Band and Max Miller among others in a sentimental tribute to the popular songs of the time, as well as sketches and poems that played such a big part in keeping up the morale of servicemen as well as everybody at home.
The show starts at 2.30pm and tickets cost £12 and £10 concessions with discount rates available for parties of eight or more and are available from St George’s Theatre on 01493 441484 or www.stgeorgestheatre.com
