Firefighters battled through the night to quash a fierce blaze at a takeaway in Great Yarmouth.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue service were called at around 2am this morning (Saturday, October 6) to reports of a fire at a Greek Grill in Southtown Road.
Fire crews from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Acle and an aerial ladder platform vehicle from Earlham responded to the call and fought the flames until around 4.40am.
Crews wore specialist breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and used a hydrant to supplement the water supply.
A fire spokesman explained the lengthy call out time was due to difficulty in accessing it rather than the size of the fire.
They added: “Fire crews returned to the property this morning for an inspection.”
